Do I need an account to pay?

No. Guest checkout issues a real code. You get a private secret code on your receipt — save it, and use the 'Find my code' page any time. An account just keeps everything in one place and unlocks referrals.

How much is the fee?

KSh 20, KSh 30 or KSh 100, set per donor gift. The exact fee is shown before you pay and on your receipt.

What exactly am I paying for?

A small fee for us to match you with a donor. It pays for us to find the donor, check them, and set up the link between you. It is not a bet, and it is not the price of the gift.

How do I pay?

M-Pesa or card. With M-Pesa, type your number, approve the request on your phone, and your code comes as soon as the payment goes through.

What if my payment fails or I get charged twice?

If a payment fails you get no code and you pay nothing. If you are charged twice, we send the extra payment back. Message us on WhatsApp or email support@communitydonars.com with your phone number or your code. Refunds go back to the same M-Pesa number, and we keep a record of every one.

Can I get my money back?

We send your fee back in four cases: the payment failed, you were charged twice, the gift is cancelled or taken down, or we cannot match you to a donor for that gift. Message us on WhatsApp or email support@communitydonars.com with your phone number or your code. Refunds go back to the same M-Pesa number, and we keep a record of every one. Once we have matched you and the gift went ahead as promised, the fee has done its job and stays with us. Being matched is not a promise that you will be the one picked for the gift.

How is the recipient chosen?

After a gift closes, we run the match. The computer picks at random, so everyone has exactly the same chance. We keep a record of every match.

How do referrals work?

Share the code from your account. Bring 3 friends and you both pay no fee next time. Inviting yourself does not count.

Question 9

How long do I have to claim a gift?

Accepted Answer

7 days from the match. We send you an SMS with a private link, plus reminders. Gifts nobody claims are shown as unclaimed.

Question 10

Will my photo be published if I'm matched?

Accepted Answer

Only if you say yes. Photos are off unless you turn them on, and you never have to share one to get your gift. You can say no and still be listed by name.

Question 11

Who can use the platform?

Accepted Answer

Anyone 18 or older with an M-Pesa number or card. Only spend what you can afford — this is a service fee, not an investment.
